What do we have here?

At this moment in time, we have two major announcements.

Firstly, we are almost done with the final update to TM3. Of course, the real thing that you all want to know is, when will it come out? That’s a very good question: we are aiming for next weekend, so be prepared. There is going to be a lot of tricky stuff, so if you thought we are going too soft on you, think again.

But as the world’s longest celebration of the previous year’s summer solstice finally comes to an end, there is one more very good question that must be asked> What’s next? Do you remember a few months ago when I posted this thing? The thing that also ended up being parodied with me and Dreamland’s ponysonas “cosplaying” to advertise our excellent musical contributions to an ongoing event being held by our main supporters and collaborators this weekend because it’s their 5th birthday? (Huzzah!)

There were no comments, so it probably raised more questions then were actually asked. What “secrets”? How “sacred” is this sand? Where is this sand? What’s that giant alicorn in the distance? Why is Sun Beamer dressed like a Mad Max character? Did the world end?

On that last one: no, it didn’t. We’re just very off-grid. But the biggest point of that poster, is that it’s a teaser of the theme for next TrotMania.

I’ll be shocked if more than just the development team and me actually understands the theme. The nature of the aforementioned “giant alicorn” is the biggest hint about what we’re doing with the next TrotMania.

But, why do I keep calling it “the next TrotMania”? It has a name, of course…

...!

    Well, at least I hope it won’t have any other trashy/edgy/whateverthey’recallednow OCs in this version…

    @Dark Sunrise

    By that you mean? The TM3 OCs (well, Sun Beamer and Obscurus Noctis) were never meant to be trashy/donut steel types. They’re reasonable, but were dressed in the archtypes of the cybergoth raver, and the cyberpunk DJ, because this was supposed to be set at like, a dance music event. This time around, it’s going to be more of an industrial/Mad Max feel.

    Exciting!

    I’m not sure if i’m still ready to transition from hypnotized dance music festival to dusty sands.

    However, i do see the cleverness (as per usual by Lirodon) of the concept, that we’ve had our fun in the dark, and now it’s time to have fun in the light…….if…deserts, or wherever TM4 supposed to take place, is associated with light…And hey, the two main stars of the story: Obscurus had her fun in the dark, and now Sun’s about to have fun in the desert…

    …do i have the initial idea of this correct?…

    Inanycase though, even if i’m not yet ready for sands, i’ll be really curious how TM4 will turn out. Will periodically switch between Chrystalize, Aeternum, and this new Euphorius, so i don’t get bored of one single theme.

    But most eagerly i’m awaiting for is TM3’s Night 3 update, which hopefully addresses 2 particular issues mentioned on a particular thread in the TM bugs subforum.
